You get what you pay for |Recommended: NoDecent community but don't expect much from the front office in terms of working with you on issues. I realize you can't please everyone but it is a little disheartening for someone to be incapable of putting themselves in your shoes. People do still have to live here, Even if you aren't.
Overall|Recommended: YesIn general, the main issue is the AC cool well even when I the 100's it should cool better for upstairs so you can at least be comfortable. As in most places management changes and I've been here 5yrs and we are on our 3rd manager and staff. All have been polite and helpful though
Security is an issue, and cameras might help. People that don't live here can get in easily and some make trouble. Not a safe environment.|Recommended: NoChildren are not completely safe here, have been threatened and cussed at and ridiculed by other kids. There is a problem with littering. It might help to have trash cans by the mailboxes, and the playground and the picnic area next to the pool. There's a unsanitary amount of dog poop in almost all the pet areas and there's some scattered throughout the entire complex. Security cameras would help. The playground needs new equipment and a trash can, trees trimmed and to be cleaned up. I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone. The entire staff are absolutely the best folks you'll ever meet. It's some tenants that ruin it for others that's the problem.
You Get What You Pay For|Recommended: NoTrails of Elm Creek is reasonably priced but you definitely get what you pay for. I submit maintenance requests online and in person and I don't get a response for weeks and sometimes months. When I first moved in April I submitted a list of maintenance concerns and it wasn't until July that I heard back from someone. When I first moved in, I was told that I could switch to a smaller unit after 6 months of my lease since the smaller unit wasn't available when I was ready to move and six months later, I was denied this courtesy because it was never a part of the policy. The staff is not consistent with rules and procedures and I'm always given the runaround when I have an issue that needs to be addressed. Parking is scarce and they have no option for reserving a personal space near your unit. The parking lot has pot holes everywhere and there appears to be no rush to get it fixed. If you want an affordable place to stay this is the place to be, but you definitely are sacrificing quality and decent customer service.
It's pretty good for the price that they're offering.|Recommended: YesIt's alright if you're tight on money.
Good in some cases|Recommended: YesHave problems getting things fixed in a timely manner.
It could use some major upgrades or atleast timely maintance calls.|Recommended: NoIt is a little run down but for the price it is a good deal.
Na|Recommended: NoThe new office staff is VERY UNHELPFUL. To many different people. Never answer the phone. Ive been here on this property for 4 years because of the staff BEFORE and now the new staff is the reason i will be leaving.
Horrible Experience |Recommended: NoI have lived in this complex going on 4 years the insect problem Here is horrible they never spray for the bugs therefore the roaches come out from under the carpet and cracks in the frame of the foundation fleas all over the property everywhere not to mention when you live in the 2nd floor and ur bottom neighbor slams the door the whole complex shakes horrible place to have a baby, the children are never supervised and run amuck which is the parents fault but management never does anything to control the issue on another note they let us move in with a 5 year old carpet which is now 9 years and at the beginning we were told it was a new carpet and found out from a different leasing agent that it was old carpet. Also the residents pay so much rent money here and there is never any improvements made to the foundation for instance the playground is pathetic but yet they have money to rip up flowers which are totally still blooming just to change the flowers color. Horrible place to live
Problems are not solved with the urgency they require. I have had several issues and they fix them mommentarily but the problems always come back. It is a hastle |Recommended: YesIt is cheap, but not recommended
Good Maintenance good location|Recommended: NoBuildings are a little older but well maintained.
The Best place to live in Texas |Recommended: YesTrails of Elm creek is a wonderful most cost efficiency place you will ever find. The staff are great , location is amazing and it is also safe to live.. The maintenance guys go above and beyond their job to attend to their residents . I moved here a year ago and never had an issue with them at all..
Its better than most in the area.|Recommended: YesQuiet and everyone minds their own.
Needs Work|Recommended: NoMy biggest issue is that there is no way to budget your rent. Because of the way the water and gas is split between all of the residents, my bill has been anywhere from 850 to 900. I shouldn't have to pay for people overusing their gas and water. And the apartment complex running the sprinklers in the rain adds to my bill too. As much rain as we've gotten this spring, there is no reason for the sprinklers to be used at all. The walls are very thin and I can hear everything happening at my neighbors homes. But that to me is almost to be expected from a complex this old. I like my apartment and the location of the complex. The biggest deterrent to me renewing my lease is my inability to budget my bills.
Not much here|Recommended: NoDon't move here... there are better and cheaper places
